Note: Baer states that the cancelled etching plate still exists. This large and handsome etching rarely comes up for sale. It is a beautiful example of the artist's etching work. The renowned photographer , Lucien Clergue, a close friend of Picasso and his heirs corrected a previous description based on Baer, saying it was actually the portrait of a young Torero! This perhaps explains the exaggerated hairstyle which is, in fact, a cap.
