Mali Morris (b.1945, North Wales) studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the University of Reading. Since her first major solo exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery, London (1977), and Ikon Gallery, Birmingham (1979), she has exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally, with over forty solo exhibitions at leading institutions including the Royal Academy, Hales Gallery, New York, and Ikon. Recent surveys include Mali Morris: Calling at Ikon (2023) and Mali Morris: Returning at the Hatton Gallery, Newcastle (2024–25). In 2022, 33 banners commissioned by the Royal Academy and Art in Mayfair were displayed above Bond Street. Her work is held in major public and private collections worldwide, including the Royal Collection, Government Art Collection, Arts Council England, British Council, Pallant House and Whitworth Art Gallery. She has also played an active role in supporting contemporary painting as a selector, mentor, trustee and founder-member of Art in Perpetuity Trust (APT).
