Since 2019, Mary Norden has worked as a full time artist making artworks with fragments of old textiles.

Early career

After studying textiles at West Surrey College of Art, Mary Norden established a successful studio, producing numerous printed fabric collections each year, with commissions from designers such as Yves St Laurent, Mary Quant, Kenzo and Ralph Lauren.  She moved into lifestyle and interiors, working as a stylist, art director and writer for numerous interior publications including Sunday Times Style, Homes & Gardens and House & Garden, as well as for companies such as Swarovski, Colefax & Fowler, Manuel Canovas, and many others. She has published 11 books on interiors, lifestyle and textiles.
