In these two works I have used simple low-fi materials like foil card and carborandum paste so only one print is produced per plate.
I play with fables centred on women, weaving the everyday with mythical figures.
Pen Reid (b. 1968, Edinburgh) is a Scottish painter living and working in Edinburgh. She studied Painting and English Literature at Oxford Brookes University before completing an MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her exhibitions include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2024), the Royal Scottish Academy and the Society of Scottish Artists, as well as solo exhibitions at Fossekleiva Kultursenter, Norway (2025), Arusha, London (2025), Compass Gallery, Glasgow (2023) and Union Gallery, Edinburgh (2021). Her work has been reviewed in The Scotsman and The Herald.
