Sean Coates (b.1996) holds a BA in Computer Animation Art from Bournemouth University and an MA in Fine Art Painting from UAL. His multidisciplinary practice brings together painting, photography and digital image-making, combining traditional techniques with his background in CGI. His paintings explore the humorous and sometimes darker aspects of contemporary white culture, using comedy as a means of examining cultural identity and the absurdities of modern life. Coates has exhibited paintings and digital works in London.
