Louisa Longstaff-Scales is a painter living and working in Norfolk, England. A graduate of Winchester School of Art, she has exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Academy, and her work is held in private collections in the UK and internationally. Largely autobiographical, her paintings explore personal narratives and storytelling through the landscape, seeking meaning in its ancient cycles and the relationship between place, memory and experience. Sometimes depicting a specific place and moment, and at other times combining fragments of landscape into a journey across land and memory, her work reflects on the passage of time, consciousness and human behaviour.
