Jo Lewis is a British artist based in London, trained at the Leith School of Art in Edinburgh and the École Régionale des Beaux-Arts, Valence. Working primarily in ink and watercolour on paper, she creates boldly minimal works in which fluidity, colour, light and the encounter between forms are central. Her work has been exhibited in London, Paris and Lyon, including solo exhibitions at Ken Artspace, M2 Gallery and Galerie Valérie Eymeric, and she has participated in the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize and the Radical Drawing Symposium. Her residencies include southwest China, Portugal, France and Iceland, where she was invited by the Baer Art Foundation in 2026. Lewis has undertaken major commissions for the Old War Office Hotel, Whitehall, SCP Seoul and the Royal College of Music, among others, and her work is held in public, corporate and private collections internationally.
