iona G. Roberts lives and works in London. Her paintings explore emotional and psychological states through closely cropped, predominantly female figures whose gestures, glances and expressions suggest something beyond reach. Working intuitively in oils, inks and watercolours, she applies paint directly with her fingers, allowing meaning to emerge through the process of making. Her work has been exhibited three times at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and is held in national and international collections, including the David Roberts Art Foundation.
