Annabelle d’Huart lives and works in Paris. Her practice encompasses sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, textiles and drawing, often exploring themes of memory, nature, fragility and the passage of time. Her first exhibition, Atlantis, was held at the Pierre Passebon gallery in 1990, followed by major works including Golden Reveries (1996), Goddesses (1999) and the jewellery series Talisman. Her collaborations with Sèvres – Ceramic City include Atlantis, Homage to Ruhlmann and the 300-piece porcelain jewellery collection Flotsam, which entered the Musée de la Céramique de Sèvres collection in 2013. Other significant projects include Heavenly Laces (2007), Sea Princesses (2009–12), Foreshore (2014) and Shallows (2015–17). Between 2015 and 2019 she created Shitao, a series of seven large-scale paintings inspired by the Chinese philosopher and painter Shitao. In 2013 she was made a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres for her contribution to French cultural heritage.
