ames Fisher (b. 1972) is a British painter whose practice explores the relationships between painting, music and text. He studied at the University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art, and was awarded an Abbey Scholarship in Painting at the British School at Rome in 2001, followed by a PhD in Fine Art from the University of Gloucestershire. His paintings have been exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally, including nine solo exhibitions, and he has participated in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the ING Discerning Eye. His work is held in private collections throughout the UK and Europe, as well as public collections including the Jerwood Foundation. Fisher has also collaborated across disciplines, including with sculptor Denise de Cordova on Camouflage, an installation of sculpture and painting presented at London Art Fair. He is represented by Eagle Gallery, London.
